Sun, wind, and motorpacing

After another cold and very very rainy day yesterday, riders left early and camp ended. I stayed on with 2 riders coming back from injury, so what else to do on a rainy afternoon then hit the movies? we went to see From Paris With Love which was entertaining.

This morning we woke to beautiful blue skies, SUN!!! Yes, it's alive, and raging winds. We set off for a 100kms hilly ride over some of today's course raced at the Tour de Haut Var. Must say, not having ridden all last week and my legs remembered that, so I finished pretty spent but finished indeed.

As for the boys I had last week, I just read a press 'report' that must not have been from someone on site. There were 9 riders in front in an early break that then dwindled down to 2 including our own Alexander Pichot. When his advance was over 6 minutes, friends watching the race suddenly saw the race motorcycles bring the peloton back to the break and with 5kms to go they were
caught.

Hurray for sportsmanship!

Cheers,
Marion
