Home again, home again, Jiggity Jig!!! Posted on 1/21/2010 11:10:00 PM
Wow! 2 days of absolute sunshine here in Spain! What a concept!
Tomorrow at 9h15 were all on our way home, though maybe I should start with today's ride...
Gale force winds this morning for our 4 hours with 6x3' prologue efforts... The boys were psyched to ride, get it over with, and I think everyone is ready to move onto the next step....be it seeing friends and family or getting on with the racing season!
The winds were so strong and possibly my legs so shot, that after one 3 minute ride at the front into the wind I gave up my turn to the next in line. Our French elite pursuit champion, Damien Gaudin, was giving his new Colnago time trial bike a shot, and he looked like a torpedo as he chased down a little mini delivery bus without so much as a bother from the wind!
After our ride we sorted out mini vans, rides, and taxis for tomorrow, and I got on with my programs, downloading some courses for future races and packed!!
Somehow I always leave with more than I came with and I didn't shop...the big trick now is to pack 7 of us with 5 bikes and loads of suitcases, etc into our minivan...I hope it works!
Cheers and thanks for reading!
Our next camp and blog is February 8-12.
