Philip Deignan is an Irish professional cyclist with the Cervélo TestTeam. He is a native of Letterkenny in County Donegal. He specialises in climbing and won a mountain stage in this year’s Vuelta a Espana while also finishing 9th overall. He has also achieved top ten finishes in mountain stages in the Giro d’Italia. He joined the Cervélo Test Team in 2008 and has set his sights on developing his talent as a stage race and Grand Tour rider.
