Christian Meier is a strong Canadian competitor who won national road race titles as both an under 23 and an Elite rider, taking those victories in 2007 and 2008 respectively. In 2005, the-then 20 year old was also the Espoir TT champion, topping the podium in the year he began riding for Symmetrics.
Meier became a stagiaire with Garmin – Chipotle in 2008 and then spent two full seasons racing with the team. He was seventh in this year’s Tour of Britain. He will compete with the UnitedHealthcare team in 2011, and is looking forward to new opportunities there.
