Since setting the 2nd fastest Individual Pursuit time in history on the track in 2009 Geraint has been focusing on achieving success on the road with the newly formed Team Sky.
He got off to a flying start by winning the National Road Racing Championships in Pendle at the end of June and his good form so far this season resulted in him being chosen to ride in the Tour de France. With an impressive 5th place in the prologue and 2nd in the overall classification after Stage 2, Geraint is now committed to supporting the team leader Bradley Wiggins.
