Joan Benoit Samuelson just finished the Chicago Marathin in 3:11 at 61.

Just sayin’....

I just had my best year ever on my bike (after 30 years of riding). Admittedly a lot was simply due to volume, but my performance definitely increased substantially. I also feel that my run can still get faster and haven’t year reached my peak there...but I also came to running late, so that makes some sense.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

Greatness in our midst.

She had a kid after winning the first olympic women's marathon and suffered a common problem after childbrirth: sacroiliac laxity and pain, which knocked her out of top marathoning. Such a pleasure to read that she is back as an elder stateswoman. And as always a class act.

Class lady....saw an interview with her after the race. She ran it with her daughter and was very emotional about the whole experience. been fighting injuries, etc. Was very cool...
