Ok I realize this isn't a medical center. I've already been treated for the stress induced epidytimitis but the strain that led to this is still manifesting as a groin injury. Getting really tired of them. Seems to happen every few years when I make a big jump in miles and/or power. So how long do you guys sit out or back off? I took the better part of two weeks with little cycling. When I did I took it easy. Today I went out and "tested' things. Rode ok but still a bit sore this evening. Looking forward to getting back to 100%. Thanks for any suggestions. JP

In general, I take longer to recover from injury and hard efforts that I once did (as expected). Active rest/recovery is a much bigger part of my life than it once was. Injuries to that region seem especially difficult. I had a nether region injury linger for the better part of a year.

Ouch, hear you on longer to recover. Next time I'll listen to my body a bit more and a lot sooner! I felt the strain on the ride but still went out the next day anyway since nothing was bothering me, YET.

Good news, some two weeks+ later and a lot of Naproxen I'm doing much better.
