One of the defining skills of cyclocross is being able to dismount, run smoothly, and remount smoothly. I just watched the pro's do it and dayum... These guys bound over the first barrier with their first foot contact with the ground.
The question: is it important to incorporate actual running (as opposed to just dismounts/remounts) for cross prep?

I don't race 'cross, but many of the people I know that do toss a short run into their program.
