Only Specialized and Canyon are providing more than one team bikes (3 and 2 respectively).   Shimano drivetrains are on 10 team's bikes, Campy 5 and SRAM 3.  Shimano provides 6 teams with wheels, Campy/Fulcrum with 5 and SRAM/Zipp with 2.  Smaller companies fill out the rest with Mavik supplying two teams.

Cockpits, helmets and clothing are also listed, but the trends are not as strong.  7 manufacturers provide cockpits and 14, helmets.

Not earthshaking news, but kinda interesting.

I was scrolling through CyclingNew's photo gallery of the TDU bikes and saw this:

"25mm tyres are becoming a common sight in the pro ranks - some teams didn't even bring 23c tyres with them"

Two thoughts. One is that I remember all the talk over the years of how we had to ride 23s to go fast. Also photos from TDU. Looks like a lot of ship seal. (Hmm, in a different thread, it was pointed out that the peloton averaged 24 mph and 16 mph up Corkscrew. Maybe those tires really are slower. )

I hope to see things grow more diverse, not less.
