Any one see Dallas Buyers Club ? Matthew McConaughey could teach the Chicken a few things about weight loss. I don't see how he didn't make himself sick loosing that much weight for that movie.

Looks similar in True Detective. Some fine acting, too.

What about Christian Bale in the Machinist? Can't believe he got that thin without dying.

Matthew McConaughey's hair in Dallas Buyers Club and Wolf of Wall St bothered me more

There was an investigative report on E! (yeah, my wife makes me watch it) about the crazy things actors do for certain roles. For instance, Bale went from super thin to ripped for Batman in less than a year. Same thing with Wahlburg. They are using growth hormone, steroids, etc. I respect their dedication to what they love but dang, that's really dangerous. Of course, the same could be said for screaming down asphalt at 50mph with only lycra for protection.

"What I found was tapioca pudding. I would use the tiniest little antique spoon and I would eat it with that so it would last longer. I could make it last an hour." - Mconaughey backstage at SAG Awards.
[on the reaction to his dieting, losing 47 pounds for his role in 'The Dallas Buyers Club'] My daughter was looking at me, and she said,'Why is your neck long like a giraffe?' The giraffe's neck was the only comment I got from them. They saw the transformation day to day. Now, when I went to see someone who I hadn't seen in months, that's the people who would go crazy. It went from 'Is everything alright?' and then it got to 'Are you okay?'and the last one was, 'Oh my God, you're sick'. At that point I thought Ron was just the weight he needed to be. - IMDB
Looks like Tapioca Pudding will be the new diuretic.

I just started watching
True Detective
. Holy hell....McConaughey is simply brilliant. Woody Harrelson is no slouch, either.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

Not sure exactly why but McConaughey strikes me as one creepy dude. Respect him for his acting and weight loss but still he just seems creepy to me. Incidentally Mat Damon does a very funny immitation of him
