Ok so we now have an openly gay NBA player . A soon to be openly gay player in the NFL. Has there been an openly gay pro cyclist ? Over/under on how long it will be before we see one. Male or female first ? |

Interesting question. The who's who list shows 4 cyclists, 3 of which were german female cyclists, two of which were in a relationship with one another. The fourth is Graeme Obree, which came as surprise to me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LGBT_sportspeople But aren't we all a bit gay riding around in our spandex? :-P |

It'll be nice to get to the point of... "Who cares..." I'm glad it's happening, just ready for it to be a non-issue. It's been the hateful focus of many small minds for far too long. |

if anyone is surprised there are gay people happily going about their lives in the open, doing all (well most) of the things you or I do, then you really haven't been paying attention or have just been mentally blocking out that part of our species. I really think it's just a few scattered enclaves left where people are surprised to find gay people in their midst. |

Count calories, shave legs, lean bodies, wear spandex? Nope, no gay men here!
But seriously, I'm with Huck. Who cares?

Yep I'm with Huck also, who cares. Ignorance is clearly showing it's ugly head, just look at AZ and TX. |

I'm in the "who cares" camp... I just dont understand why its an issue. Do your job, behave responsibly, spend time with whomever you want |

Pin0Q0, That bill will be crushed here in AZ. Brewer will never sign it. |

Spud, I hope that you're correct. The proposed law would be a disaster for the state on multiple levels. |

My trip to the Grand Canyon is dependent on her vetoing the legislation

How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. |

You know what I'm waiting for? An openly vegetarian or vegan MLB or NFL player. I bet there are actually some, but I can't get over how bad 400 pound football players, all the megafarm meat they eat, and then all the $4ite the fans consume at games, on the way to games, and while watching games at home are for the environment. I am really growing to despise U.S. ball sports. The NFL is a corporate chess match, not a sport. The NBA is WWE with a ball. I think both are major parts of the problem in the U.S. right now...just look at the fan base. |
