Wow...

That is not the type of thing sponsors want to see.

Yeah....saw it live. Don't think he had a problem with the bike, just got caught in a crash and was p*ssed. Bike took the brunt of it.....

Never mind the fact that no sponsor likes to see their stuff get treated like this, but Giant also stepped in and saved the team's arse this year. Gotta believe they aren't too happy today.....

Considering the number of amateur cyclists who scrimp and save to buy a nice ride, it's difficult not to think of him as a spoiled twit.

I understand emotion getting the best of a competitor.

That said, if a cyclist throws his bike, a spectator should have the opportunity to lay himself underneath the incoming two wheeled missile, and in exchange for buffering the bike from damage - keep it for him or herself ; )

I do kinda chuckle when I see him slam the bike to the ground and then go over and start grabbing his shoulder in pain.....

This thread brings to mind the John Hiatt song Perfectly Good Guitars. "It breaks my heart to see those stars, smashing a perfectly good guitar."

Acting is a key ingredient of real sport.

Meanwhile in pretend sport they stop playing and have a time out...and then more timeouts.

Meanwhile Kittel has repented and offered flowers to his bike

GREAT tune....and album, as well.

Bring the Family, Slow Turning and Stolen Moments were a great trifecta of albums, too!

It made me wince because it triggered a emotional memory of the first time I broke my collar bone. Right after I crashed I sat on a curb and reached over to pull my bike off the road. As I applied pressure I felt the bone displace. Kittel lifted the bike over his head after a trauma. ouch! also a dumb as$ move.

Master, I am getting used to being reprimanded for not laying still after crashes. Get used to it folks. I'd rather chance being paraplegic from moving after a spinal injury than be hit by the next car that comes along. (I'm pretty good at getting my bike off the road also; old racer instincts - I need that bike and it's my ride home! but getting my bod of the pavement is my main focus and I don't always get the bike.)
