Dan Martin already crashed out of the Giro!

So Martin caused the crash...luck of the Irish...or just crashprone.

Well they still got Ryder and maybe Thomas D can show that he's not just a waste of talent without the juice but they're already more than 3 min down.

Weather played quite a bit of havoc with TTT; big differences on GC between Uran/Evans and rest.

I was shocked by how much time Katusha and Movistar lost today.....the 2 big favorites already losing big time.

Now, for those two guys, there are plenty of climbs ahead to make that time up, but still....

Did he slide at least 50 feet?

Seems he slid for quite some time.

Wow.

dang. what would have happened if garmin could only finish with four riders?

Just an observation, but there is just too much insanity in early major tour stages.

They would have been out....apparently Fabian Wegmann had been dropped due to a bad stomach, so he missed the crash and was able to catch the other 4 rides while they waited for him to make 5 at the finish.

Dang, I picked a random Garmin guy for the win. Who knew I would be out of it in the first stage.

I have to blame the team as a whole for that. Whoever was in front should not have taken the team across the manholes. Just silly.
