If you're going to write on a topic at least do sufficient homework to avoid looking like a total dummy.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/she-the-people/wp/2014/07/24/the-tour-de-france-again-has-no-women-cyclists/

"With women now fully accepted as marathon runners, the fastest men and women marathoners are separated by just minutes over the 26-mile, 385-yard race. Moreover, having women run on the same course at the same time as the men doesn’t affect the race in any way. In fact, Boston officials accommodate the more than 20,000 official entrants by staggering the starting times. The elite women start running about half an hour before the men do, meaning that a woman actually crosses the finish line in Copley Square before a man does.

The Tour de France could do the same type of thing by, for example, staggering teams at the start according to their overall position. Having a team of women in the mix wouldn’t change any of the current protocols."

Other than the pee breaks I suppose it wouldn't

yeah she sounds a bit confused about how this "Tour de France" thingy works. I wouldn't put her in charge of the implementation.

But if I were a female bike racer, I'd really want to see it happen.

Logistics is 1 really big reason. More hotel rooms. more cars. more, more , more. Mind you I went to the tour in 1988 and there was a Woman's tour running parallel. It was only a week or so long but on the same courses and of course shorter distances. It was a sidebar at best. Of course that was some years ago and who knows maybe a woman's race would be received differently now?
