That may be how to make the TdF "TV Friendly". Even for a cycling fan the review show puts the entire race in a short format so you can get a feel for the entire event. I'm still pretty sure that cycling won't take any NASCAR fans away.
I was unable to watch most of the TdF this year so I read the blow-by-blow each day and caught highlights here and there. After watching the NBC show here are my main thoughts:
Nibali is smooth! He didn't look powerful like Boom on the stones, but he 'floated' nicely over them. He always looked relaxed, easy, and in control on the bike.
Tony Martin is an animal! Yes, he won the TT as expected, and won a stage with a big show of TT power, but he was very often at the pointy end hammering away.
Kittle is one powerful dude.
Kristoff has arrived this year. (Giro can you get his helmet lined up).
The young French guys!
Sagan is a jack of all trades (and we know what that means), he needs to decide on one. I don't see him being happy (just) winning another green jersey (but three is BIG!).
Cycling is AWESOME!
