Looks like adding Horner to the team wasn't enough to get them an invite to the Tour of Cal this year. Cycling is such a gamblers sport for sponsors.

Was it the doping whispers? Otherwise that is just wrong. Cali is a perfect Tour for a colorful, telegenic American (Horner) to take a stage or more.

I was reading a recent issue of VeloNews the other day while eating breakfast. I started to read an article about Chris Horner, thinking it was a few pages. Wow! I stopped and had to finish it a different day I think was like 8 pages. He is a complex fellow. He might have burned a few too many bridges in the past.
I always liked his interviews. He would make a good color commentator.
Sooner or later it's time to retire.

They’ve obviously done harm to the race by not bringing me
LOL.....I think the ToC will be just fine without you, Chris.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

ha ha ha CK, totally, really like the guy, but seems to be a bit of an egomaniac with that statement.
He's one of the old guard, and when a decent cyclist, but not a seriously gifted cyclist wins a Grand Tour so late in his career, it does not look good, and only adds to the speculation surrounding him, plus maybe too many ties to LA, Leipheimer, Astana, etc.........?

how can he help the youngsters if they do not let him in the race!!
I saw that VN article. That was an interesting connect-the-dots study of his career.
