so Froome doesnt wear yellow today? I call BS on that choice. Harden the Eff up race directors! "Tony Martin was the leader of the Tour on Thursday night after the sixth stage. Now he is on longer in the race, then there is no leader. I have communicated the decision to race director Thierry Gouvenou, who also agrees," Sporza reported Dobbelaere as saying. No leader? Really so if someone crashes out on the last day while wearing Yellow, is there no winner? Sorry as much as we like Martin, the race goes on. Anyone remember 2004 when Zabriskie fell of his bike in the TT wearing yellow. A certain rider in second place (yes initials were LA) didnt want to wear the jersey the next day but they made him. How is this year different from 04?

Apparently, the difference is that Tony Martin finished the stage and retained the overall lead. Therefore, he is not "out" of the race until he failed to sign in this morning. If he ad not gotten back on his bike and abandoned without finishing, Froome would have been required to wear yellow. That's the way it was explained in an article I read. I thought it odd as well but there's your explanation.

Zabriskie did indeed finish the race that day. Just not with his team so I guess he lost the yellow that day. But I see the difference. Seems lame to me.
