The LUGnuts will be meeting every morning at

for coffee, banter and the Vuelta a Espana.  Meeting times vary, but they will congregate roughly one half hour before the start.

For those who do not know, LUG is Charles Pelkey and LUG stands for LiveUpdateGuy.  He has been doing live Tour updates for years, starting with VeloNews for which he was editor for many years.  After he was canned, he resumed his work as LUG, but now it is no longer underwritten.  Instead it operates on the public broadcasting model, completely supported by voluntary donations from its viewers.  And view input is welcomed beyond just money.  Sign on, grab a handle and avatar and join the (often very irreverent) banter.

A completely unsolicited plug for Mr. Pelkey - he is a huge asset to the cycling world.  Loves racing, is very well versed at the pro level and widely respected by many.  After his canning by VeloNews, he went through cancer, came out the other side, went to law school, started a law firm with partners and got elected to State Representative.  He and his firm  took on a case involving a cyclist, found the Wyoming law lacking in that area, wrote the bill and got it passed into law.  (Safe passing - 3 feet I believe.)

So do me a favor and grab a recognizable handle if you decide to join the LUG nuts.  Don't worry, I am still just the poring old 79pmooney (which I rode yesterday).
