Gets called out for a tow on the Cirpressa, posts a Stava file that shows him (a sprinter) posting the fastest time up the Cipressa, then pulls it down and posts a more modest one. Hmmmmm..... |

Interesting...sounds like there's no video evidence so they can't do much. Transponder data would tell the story yes or no cheating but can it be used in official (disciplinary) sense? |

And could it be doctored to cover up the alleged tow? |

His Strava data was removed then reuploaded: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/demares-milan-san-remo-data-file-deleted-from-strava/ The transponder data would be very welcome to clear this up one way or another. |

Slightly off topic, anyone watch the race? MSR was again the "sprinters' classic". How 'bout a few more hills along the way to tire the legs? And some trivia: Back in the day, if I recall correctly, the race started at the massive Milan cathedral (duomo), but now starts by the old fortress about a mile away. Any history buffs have any comment on this? |

I agree with the first comment on today's CN article. This is really going to hurt cycling's image as a squeaky clean sport. Also, I was wondering if and how Matteo Tossato would impact this race. Looks like he is one of the narcs who called out Demare. Finally, where are the fan photos of this tow up the cipressa? With ubiquitous cameras these days, there's bound to be a photo of the infraction floating around out there. In any case, sounds like there is a lot of smoke, likely a fire too. |

There's some poor resolution pics and from wrong angle here: http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/952/Wielrennen/article/detail/2652522/2016/03/20/Demare-versterkt-vermoedens-vals-spel-door-koersdata-offline-te-halen.dhtml |

The graphs at the bottom of OC's link are pretty suspicious. For a short time his speed was almost 50 mph, with low cadence. Smoking gun? |

I'm really curious about the Data was up, pulled from the site, and then re-posted? That's a red flag On OC's pics, looks very suspicious to me Once again, MSR always proves to be one crazy race. This controversy, and then the rookie move by Gavaria, he was lucky he did not take everyone down with him |

They are on the path because they don't want to get hit by that motorcycle on the right.

Nah, just obeying a motorist that yelled at them to "Get on the sidewalk!" |

But what about the motorist who thinks, "If you don't like my driving, then stay off the sidewalk!" |
