Specifically Boonen is hammering it and making the rest work early. Probably too early but good for him.

I'm rooting for mud. When's was the last wet PR?

If you are "rooting" properly?, aren't you in mud?  Edit:  I keep thinking pigs and truffles.

Sagan and Canc are getting stuck with the bill for the crash-caused field split.

I wondered about Sagan's decision to ride his custom to the first pave and swap bikes.  My first thought - dumb!  How can Sagan hit the cobbles anywhere near the front after a bike swap?  The field is hardly going to let him go up the road so he can do that switch and come back to the front.  It's looking like E-QS knew this all along and decided that Sagan was going to pay for this strategy.

Playing the Tony Martin card. That's quite a card. Take that, Mr. Rainbow Stripes and Sparticus.

I wonder if Cancellara was hang back a little to better keep an eye on Sagan after his bike swap; that leading to both being behind the crash. if so, this is shouting out the old maxim - "keep it simple, stupid!" Could this be one of the most costly planned bike changes ever?

Any sign of Boom?

Tried to ride gloveless like Boonen in RVV cyclo for about 10k (switching between winter gloves and regular ones). Nah- that hurt on those cobbles.

Terpstra is sitting pretty in Sagan, Cance group.

It may not be raining, but CK can take solace; the Skyes are falling.

My thought exactly.  Cance and Sagan may be quite a bit stronger than Terpstra, but towing that guy around for hours?

Not hearing of flats so far this year. Maybe because the riders have gone to fatter tires?
