Spud, whatever happens here, Etixx is a winner. What they accomplished this first week+ is probably beyond any of the higher ups' wildest dreams. Visibility for their sponsors? Could they have had more?
And to have Brambilla pass the torch with so much class. Of course, you watch how they rode the classics and it is clear that this team is not only very strong, everyone on it is willing to put aside their ego and work.
Your cousin-once removed (did I get that right?) got himself onto one of the all-time classy teams. And earned a solid place on it!

Etixx-QS + red Lotto, targeting first week of the Giro instead of the spring classics from now on...

Etixx is bringing it for sure, for a team that everyone is saying that they are a classics team more than anything, they sure have nabbed their fair share of pink jerseys this Giro, Jungels is a beast!!
Is Team Sky cursed at the Giro period? More bad luck, Landa out...........crazy

The 2016 Giro, a race of attrition. Today Alexander Foliforov - Gazprom-Rusvelo (who?, what team?) won, and all of the GC threats to Steven Kruijswijk - Team LottoNl-Jumbo fell back.
If Kruijswijk hangs on, next week it could be said that he was the rider who didn't lose. With no bad days this next week, he will be the rider who rode "sans sans jour" or without a day without (legs).
For me, it was tough to see Valverde have such a tough day yesterday. Good to see him come back today, but the damage has been done.

Valverde is the most complete rider in current peloton and one of few riders who had the potential to win all monuments (too bad he never tried). But his GT weakness is always that one bad day.
That is what GTs are about, not having bad days. Kruijswijk finally seems to be getting it right and did more than not lose time yesterday, that's where he grabbed the stage by horns.

The skeptic in me wonders if the stage winner had a little extra gaz added to his tank.
