so lets get this started.... rumors flying that Quintana Contador and Froome are all going to line up for this race. Always love the vuelta - looking forward to a ballsier race with attacks and guys who have something to prove - ie Nairo and Bertie. And others - lots of uphill stages in this one.

I hope to see Quintana healthy. It was obvious he didn't have it at the Tour. The explanation of allergies (or some other respiratory ailment) matches what I saw. (And the cynic in me - don't they have drugs for this. I can't imagine Froome being slowed like this.)
Contador's Tour saddened me. His first crash seems to me like a lapse in attention and not the the first that cost him dearly. (The big downhill when he crashed trying to eat, last year?) Then crashing again when his teammate crashed on a speed bump. (Pet peeve - aero brake levers/brifters and bullhorns that have no stop to prevent your hand from sliding forward when you hit an unseen pothole or rock. Bad outcome almost always. Miserable as they were, those non-aero brake cables served that function well. There were many fewer "I was on Joe Smoe's wheel and didn't see it" crashes.)
I'd like to see Moviestar redeem itself giving a (hopefully) healthy Quintana real support. At the windy Tour stages, Quintana was getting more shelter from the Sky team than his own. I kept wondering "where is everybody".
Sorry guys. Still a little deflated from the Tour.

I think Contador is over the hill so to say.
But there's a great field w more than just these three and w teams overall not as strong as in tour racing will be less controlled so should be good.
After Rio I am thinking Froome will be toast. He really wants to battle Dumoulin. Its a big focus.

Yup OC, I like the editorial about Contador, they basically stated he should just rack up a few more Giro's and Vueltas, not even ride the tour, leave that to Froome
The Vuelta should be a good one, still not sure if Quintana is the real deal, I think he just got worked over by the Sky train, big time
Rumors about Froome trying for the Giro / Tour Double for 2017?

Just found out Brambilla will be racing La Vuelta. Like to see him on the podium, after the success he had at the Giro.
