If you ever visit Tucson to ride. Be sure to head out toward Gates Pass for this short but sweet climb. I'll try to get the video to load

Very nice! I think I've been there (in a car)...long time ago, DARPA meeting in Tuscon...1993 or 94. Still have flag pin given to me by Russian KGB scientist dude during that meeting.

I rode there over a decade ago. Gorgeous. The road was very coarse chip seal back then. Riders died the next day after crossing the center line. Sorry to be a downer, but that memory is seared in my mind. Please ride safe.

The nearby Sonora Desert Museum is amazing. Especially coming from the US East Coast.

OC: Now that you've outted yourself as having been involved with DARPA, are our lives in danger? LOL.

Spud: Couldn't make the work link, or by copying. Maybe I'll try later. Hey, see your profile pic. My car racing buddy here in ABQ flies for AA (out of Phoenix), and another car racing guy for FedEx. Both own Italian cars. Hmm?

Haha Nick - this was very much about scientific wonkery. Ruskis and Americans working together post Berlin Wall on learning more about Chinese nuclear tests. No one ever bothered w N Koreans.
