Kudos to UCI for prompt enforcement of their new rules re: vehicles.  A camera motorcycle accompanied the field at the sprint, now a no-no.  He was very quickly banned from the stage tomorrow.

I don't know if I have ever witnessed this before.  UCI setting a good precedent from the get-go.

With the quality of video equipped drones the value of camera vehicles is lowering. They still have their place but it's past time to thin the herd.

I was surprised to read this. TV always acts above the rules largely because of how important they are for the sponsor money. Glad to see it

I know drones are not allowed at many auto racing circuits. Not sure how reliable they are?

I think all current drones could not stay aloft for a 4 hour race nor could the operator control many drones further than line of sight. Any operator would still need to travel with the race in a car or maybe a Van? Might be useful in races but I doubt it will eliminate any support vehicles from the caravan.
