I'm wondering if Michał Kwiatkowski can now be counted as an equal favorite to Sagan for de Ronde? He has shown remarkable capability on almost any terrain and he knows how to ride with and sometimes beat Sagan. Hopefully Sky back him in full for de Ronde and don't do any multi captain dumbassery.

I think Kwiakowski has been considered a 5-star favorite at Flanders for a few years now (certainly last year)....that said, I'd still rate Sagan a half-notch above him.
he showed on Saturday he has the legs to stay with Sagan, but the bergs in Flanders can be more selective due to steepness and cobbles. Pure power reigns and I think Sagan has an advantage there.
But Sagan will also need a decent gap on Kwiakowski as the run-in to the finish is longer than San Remo, which gives Kwiakowski a chance to chase him down (not that it helped him last year).
Should be a good race....
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I am amazed at how powerful Kwiatkowski is for not having the build of the larger classics guys, Sagan, Boonen, Cancellara, etc....the guy can bring it though.
Not the strongest at MSR on Saturday, but the smartest

Kwiatkowski: "Jammer dat ik de kasseiklassiekers laat schieten"
I.e. he's not at start line at Flanders.
Kwiatkowski and Sagan have been racing each other a long time. Kwiatkowski is closer now to Sagan than he was back then in his own words. He was also the first of the two to make his breakthrough in pro peloton while Sagan was still struggling to get his first big win. of course that's in rearview mirror.
