Always a tough race to predict.....but damn I love it! The last 30K form the top if the Cipressa to the finish is some of the best racing all year. Inevitably a group up the road and the pack hurtling along side the water at full speed.

Kwiakowski is the obvious choice after winning T-A, but the odds of a repeat victory at MSR seem slim...Kristoff looked overweight to me at T-A (and got dropped on some climbs he shouldn't have) and Sagan hasn't shown the same form he has in the past....but maybe he has been keeping his powder dry for the big races this year.

I'm going out on a limb and saying GvA for the win....just 'cuz I have no idea who else to pick!

I'm going to pick Kwiakowski. Sagan 2nd. (Too weak a team and forced to do too much to win.) Kwiakowski because his form looks super right now and he has the guts and smarts. (I wish he was not on Sky but that's another issue.) GvA probably third.

All I know is it will be wet, which means Sagan will attack on technical downhill; no one can follow but he'll be brought back before line. After that it's anyone's guess.

That was a fantastic finish, well done Nibs!

And the wreck when Cav hit the road hardware... nasty

Wow...what a fantastic race. THAT is why I love MSR. The head wind kept everything a bit stale but man the last 10k was fantastic.

Watched the whole thing while on Zwift so I also got to knock out 2.5 hours of ride time.

Cav....just call it a season, my man. Damn. 3 major crashes already...

With that string of bad luck cav should call it career end. He's had a good one. Risk reward isn't there anymore though.

So who picked Nibali? Great ride! Good for him (and good for Italy). All's right in at least this corner of the world.

I always get a kick out of seeing a climber stick it to the sprinters.

Cab diving inside full speed into a barrier was sickening to watch.
Nibali really deserved this one.
