Nibali is going to attempt the Giro-Tour double.  A long shot but if anyone has the balls to pull it off, it's him.

He no longer had the legs to win in July, let alone pull off The Double.

Hell, I don’t know if he even has the legs to win a GT anymore.

Haha. The Giro has too much TTing and the Tour has Sky. Good luck.

After the Sky breakup in 2020 might be a better chance.
The trend towards shorter stages may help make it possible.
As for Nibali's plans for 2019, he could win stages in the Giro and Tour with luck and the right team, or, like Dale posted, go down with guns blazing but with more limited results if he goes for GC. F'in Skybots have sucked all the life and joy from the Tour.
