I've not been paying to much attention to Bob Jungels but sorta noticing he has been a real asset to Quick-Step. Today he impressed! Just read up on VN that he was the primary engine of the big split, then observed that he seemed the strongest of the 5 left, that he was fully capable of a 15 km TT and decided to go.
Now, it wasn't just him. Q-S had, as we wuld all expect, riders in every one of the groups n contention and did a superb job of being far less than helpful in chasing Jungles down. (Mild understatement
)
It's that time of year again, finally! The cobbles: the Q-S bread and butter. The time when that classy team shines. (But let us not forget Argentina and the dark side, the side that UCI threatened action against yesterday's race promoters, the side where women are toys to play with. I hope Lefevere grows up in this respect.)
Granted, today wasn't one of the big races. Still a nice win and one that I suspect will raise awareness among the other teams. Yet another Q-S weapon (like they need more).
