Want to watch PR, getting no where. Have had this issue with them before. Wondering if it's regional or worse.

Why pay them when there is TIZ cycling? I used to subscribe to NBC Sports Gold but they had issues.

Besides the virus risk with Tiz, i’ve had too many issue on not being able to get the feed or the feed dropping out st key moments in the race. NBC sports Gold was like $50 for the year, which included the Tour. The kicker for me was that the live Tour coverage was NOT Phil & Paul (RIP)....that alone was worth the $50. Add in some of the other races they have and it was well worth it.

(But the civerage today was my worst nightmare...Phil & Bobke. Kill me). But the feed was perfect and the video was top quality.

I have also started paying for FLO...a fair chunk more expensive, but with the amount of races they cover and the reliability of knowing I can get on (or watch the races whenever I want), it is worth it for me. Hell, i’ve Dropped $150 on dumber stuff on a regular basis.

Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

^ This. I spent the fifty bucks for NBC Gold and then double downed (triple downed?) to get FLO.

I walked around the house all day yesterday staring at my iPad to the amusement of my long-suffering wife who felt $200 is a bargain for the entertainment factor of watching me yell at the TV and iPad

Besides the fact that life is too short to watch crappy feeds when there are high quality alternatives now, the protection factor alone is worth the $200 total spend. $16 / month to watch almost any bike race I want in HD and good commentary? Yup....that is a no-brainer for me.

Good to know FLO seems to provide value. I'm thinking about putting the money down next year. the number of reliable free feeds has really gone down this year. They are really clamping down with geographic restrictions on some of the feeds originating from Europe.

No, NBC Sports Gold has a lock on the Tour.....but like I said, it was well worth it in the past just to avoid Phil & Paul (don’t know what the plans will be this year).

@ OC....exactly. I used to enjoy the Italian feeds quite a bit if I couldn’t get the Eurosport feed. But now it is almost impossible to get a feed for even a semi-decent race, let alone major ones such as P-R.

FWIW, NBC sports gold live coverage of the Tour has not been Phil and co, rather some Aussies who are much, much easier on the ears. Phil and friend overdub the rebroadcast, with time off during commercials.

Exactly...the Gold live commentary team has been Robbie McEwen and another Australian. At one point, I thought the plan was for McEwen to replace Sherwen, and he was there for the TDU, but for P-R it was just Phil and Bobke (which was so incredibly painful).

Hopefully the Gold live commentary is the same this year as years past...as noted, being soared Phil & Paul was well worth the subscription.

I set it to record with our Dish DVR. The broadcast started 30 min late because of the Stanley Cup coverage. It stopped the recording around 9K. I went to youtube to watch the finish. It broadcasted on the regular NBCSports channel (not gold). Not too much cycling on tv anymore since you-know-who admitted to doping...
