Nope.....I am not here for this idea. First heard about this a few weeks ago. https://www.velonews.com/2019/06/news/the-giro-explores-virtual-prologue-for-2020_494507 The only aspect of this idea that may make me OK with it is the possibility that it would only be for the Maglia Rosa and not have the time count towards the GC. But if the time counts for the GC? Nope.....
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

But you could compete CK.
Not sold either. I don't think there's anything against allowing public to compete virtually, and I think that should still be possible, but the pros should be racing on the road.

But they really should be riding rollers, not trainers! Please!

Why not, it's the inevitable evolution of cycling robots, nearly perfected by Sky (cynical). Just watch your power meter and pedal on.
I do wish the power meters were gone gone gone. And limit the radios to safety info like traffic island warnings.

Haha Dale
Hey stupid question that just popped in my head. If you simulate a climb on these fancy trainers does your weight matter? Ie is the resistance simulated related to your weight so climbing is still power over weight? Or no?

Yes, weight is factored into the profile....it is a huge problem with Zwift races as a LOT of people lie about their weight and say they are less than 140 or even 130 lbs. it is mind-boggling to me that some people will cheat in order to “win” a virtual race with nothing at stake, but there ya go...
It serv3s as the perfect example as to why you can never get rid of doping....someone is always willing to cheat in order to win.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!
