Somewhat inevitable after the Michelton-Scott deal fell through and CCC announced they were leaving the sport......

I remain deeply skeptical about this foundation....

I am not skeptical about the foundations intentions which are good. Even MSs Ryan admitted at much, it was just a poor match between the two.

I am skeptical in that I think they are getting in way over their heads so far being a local benevolence outfit and wanting to jump on world stage.

Oh yeah....I didn't mean that I doubt their intentions. I just doubt they 1) have the $$ to do this and 2) understand how huge a step this is. I think they are 100% getting in over their heads and this will end being a failure.

Odds that any significant pro bike race will happen before a widely applied vaccine, and in particular before 2021? I'll bet the answer is zero.
For the short term cycling is a money pit, alas. Time trials anyone?

1st August: Strade Bianche (Italy)

-8 August: Milano-Sanremo (Italy)

-12-16 August: Critérium du Dauphiné (France)

-29 August -20 September : Tour de France (France)

The first two will happen. Dauphine will most certainly start; I do think even the Tour is likely to start but I am also fairly certain it will not reach Paris. That is where I bet my money. Once the Tour is finished prematurely the rest of races will not happen unless they have reasonably separated the GTs from the single day races (those might then still happen). Some teams are certainly keeping their GT group and their classics group training well apart (i.e. separate training camps etc.).

Pretty much agree, except I would put the start of the Tour @ 50/50. Pretty decent chance they have to stop the Dauphine before the finish.
