It's time to redo the green and polka dot jersey criteria.

The green jersey should be no longer be called the sprinters jersey (I know it's the points jersey/ competition but it keeps getting called sprinter).
It should be called the Prime jersey and should be festooned with Euro and dollar signs. Points awarded at various places along the route but not the finish line.

Sprinters jersey? Crossed checkered flags. Points awarded for true bunch sprints. A breakaway gets the win? No sprinter points. Mountain top finish... none. Arbitrary places in the middle of the state, none. Those go to the Prime competition.
Flattish stages with 50+ in the bunch points as follows: 50, 30 20, 15, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 1.

Polka Dot jersey needs to be a true climbers jersey.
Sträva segments on serious climbs only. HC and Cat 1 climbs; take the time from they base to the top. Lowest cumulative time gets the jersey.

It seems silly to me that a guy can win multiple sprints and lose the green jersey to someone who just picks off points mid-stage and never wins a stage.

Same thing on the climbers jersey. Guys that are off the back on some climbs keep the jersey due to grabbing points on Cat 3 and 4 climbs.
