See article on Home Page. Guy has not had a good time of it lately. Could he be one and done as a tour guy? Or will we now see a rotation of the tour crown from hot guy to hot guy each year? |

Hopefully we see 10 guys battling for the title each year. I hope that he's out because I'm already sick of hearing about him and we still have a month to go! I tried to figure out why I'm not a BW fan. Maybe its because of the sh*t way he handled his departure from Slipstream, I don't know, he just irritates me. |

I hear you on Wiggins. For me I think it stems from the 2012 tour and the drunk twitter tirades. The slipstream departure did not help either. |

Ever since he shaved his sideburns, he's been having trouble. He's less aero now, and so has been forced to put out too much effort, which is destroying his health. Proof that facial hair, especially in the turbulent area around the ears, is vital for encouraging laminar flow. |

Is Bradley Wiggins's entire sporting future in question? The 2012 Tour de France winner is facing a key two months which will go a long way to defining the rest of his career The Guardian is even more blunt |

Well if he's one the best 7 on team Sky, he should get his arse out there and ride for Froome. The Tour will come around again in a year or two with the right mix of time trialing for Wiggens. I always thought that bike racers had an inherent lust to ride the Tour, just to be there in the spotlight regardless of whether they are contenders or not. He must really be a chump if he holds that big of a grudge against Froome. And if he were really creative, he'd sabotage Froome's bike so he crashes early in the race. Of course then he risks having to work for Richie Porte. |

Well, I think that is kind of their larger point, stronz. He has three Golds, a TdF win, he is 33 ya know. Not exactly a spring chicken. Nibali is 27 or 28 as is Chris Froome. Is he at the end of his career? Remember how quickly Big Mig went down. |

@Chinook, I can see the appeal for the younger lesser knowns, and maybe for the long time work horses like Big George and Jens. But for someone who has won it, gold medals, etc. etc. , I can see them looking at 3 weeks of bottle carrying in a race as tense as the TDF as the last thing in the world they would want to do. |

Could be a year like Cadel had last year, with some indeterminate affliction (virus they found later) in which case it makes no sense to start LeTour. Or a la Gilbert, a massive downturn year after a stellar one with exhaustion finally catching up. Either way it sucks but no need for dramatic statements like career ender. |

The Guardian blog is a bit too "Sky is Falling" for my taste, but the point remains. Wiggo's future, at least with Sky, might be in question. Still, I am glad that we have removed one soap opera from the tour, and the lead-up to it. Now, if we could only address the Cadel / Tejay soap before the start... |
