He's beginning to look like Eddy only having more fun doing it.  Also seems to have a very good grasp of the race situation, which riders can help him (Mohoric for the descents for example) and smart and even tempered enough to not needlessly burn bridges.  Refreshingly like Contador; when it's time to go, he goes.  And also refreshing, not like Contador; so far no baggage.  A public bright light for the sport and his home country.

Hard not to like the guy.

Went to Wikipedia. Pogacar's role model is Contador. Yup, it shows!

As to grasp on race situation he made a couple high profile forced errors last year.

In Flanders he came fourth in what should have been a two man sprint (best Velonews title of race coverage last year).

He also misjudged in Tour when Roglic and Fish Guy attacked in tandem.

When you’re the strongest it’s easy to look smart.

"Role model is Contador" is honest, and I hope does not include the doping bit.
Cynicism aside, it will be fun to see wonderkind Remco join Pogacar and the other GT elites soon. As for the Eddy comparison, Dour = hard man, at least back in the day.

I'm keeping that result in some perspective....not exactly an "A" field.

But he is definitely the guy to beat at Strade Bianche in a few weeks, no doubt.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

Not anymore since he's scrapped Strade from his program. That's a shame, would have been great to see him line up against WVA and MVDP. They have all three excelled at Strade but so far in different editions.

Fish guy is doing well too in snowy Galicia. Paris Nice should be interesting.
