Contador learned the hard way about wind. Great stage.

The fact that it was Dutch (Belkin) and Belgian (OPQS) teams yanking the peleton in the crosswinds should be no surprise to anyone.

overall so far 4 stars. interesting course, good start in corsica, very interesting first two stages in the pyrennes, unpredictable sprint finishes, excellent tactical slugfest on the flats today.
can't understand someone giving this tour 2 stars; not sure what kind of expectations would merit that.

A tighter GC race. As I just said in the other thread, Froome is still in a very comfortable position. As great as today was, Froome is still the strongest guy in the race.
The second stage in the Pyrennes and today's stage were both excellent. But, for the most part, the GC race has been a snoozer, IMO.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

5 wearers of the maillot jaune so far. froome is the strongest, but as today proves, there's still a long way to go. still can't see how froome's not unexpected lead merits an overall 2 star rating for what has been a great parcours and lots of unexpected surprises.

i'd give it 4 stars right now -- some nice sprints, a bit of drama (bus crash, etc.), and an unexpected today (which I give 5 stars) -- so if' you're not yet following/watching I'd encourage you to as the rest could turn out equally engaging or, if today was an anomaly and CF pulls a bunch more minutes in the ITT and mountains, boring. But who knows until the end of next week in the alps?

My mother could have written that original post... She was all about it during the Lance years, then she was like: I don't know who to root for... OMG.
