Figured Alberto would give it a shot.

Mollema (yes he was my pick this year) isn't the best descender and I am sure Contador will try again on the Alpe stage. The TT should be the best chance for Mollema to put some cement on 2nd spot, he did a really strong similar one at Suisse.

"It's true that there is a stage where I want to see what happens, it could be a day to try and look for an opportunity," he said enigmatically. "There is a very important stage and in a week's time, you'll know which one it is."

BTW I like the new gritting teeth fallable but won't give up Contador much better than the old incarnation.

Contador is a bike racer. Gotta give him that.

OC - That quote from Mollema?

I must agree with you, KR, about Contador. He is trying. So are others though. Any doubts Qunitana will attack Thursday? Nieve was a surprise too.

No that's a Contador quote from yesterday. Mollema will be happy if he keeps 2nd spot. I don't see him doing any wild Contador style attacks. Post-race emotions abound today.

Back of the Alpe descent will be interesting between the relatively sketchy road and the rain in the forecast. Pretty sure that is what Contador is referring to.

Froome and Wiggins beat people up hills. Contador will try and beat you anywhere he thinks he can.

And now Froome doesn't like racing down? Or does he mean racing down and crashing in front of him?

Froome:"It was a bit careless of Contador to attack"

Really? You have a 4:24 lead over him, and you are surprised he is attacking? The more Froome talks, the less I think of him.

Conversely, Contador was not happy with Quintana's attack after he crashed given him a sarcastic thumbs up.

You take risks, you crash, you stand to lose time. That's also part of racing.

I agree, if you attack and F up, don't complain about a counterattack (e.g. dropped chaingate).

Ding ding ding! This is why I like AC. No training races for him, if he pins on a number he's all in.
