http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/video-andreu-on-the-alpe-dhuez interesting interview over at CN. Only thing surprising is to hear him say that we might not see Contador win another GT. Really? I know he looks distinctly human at this tour but lets not forget his performance at the Vuelta less than a year ago. i just think he came in a bit under prepared. I do not think he is done as a lead man on the GT scene. Cadel - yes. AC -- no.

the vuelta is organized by unipublic, a division of atresmedia corp, both spanish of course. contador may employ his previous training methods when approaching that race, knowing the spanish history of being rather lax when it comes to controls. when i listened to that interview i thought andreu was very diplomatically implying a change in his performance... had to read between the lines.

Entheo - isnt' the UCI responsible for controls, not the race organizer? not that it makes any difference really.

jacques, those waters appear quite murky. WADA claims no responsibility for doping control results, it's unclear what the responsibilities the UCI has in terms of budget & testing, and therefore it appears the organizers (e.g. UniPublic, ASO) shoulder some of that burden, which may lead to corruption of the "doping control chaperones" employed during the Vuelta... ref: http://www.steroid.com/blog/Investigation-of-Doping-Control-Chaperone-Leads-to-Big-Steroid-Bust-in-Spain.php
