We get a Tour winner who cannot ride echelons, who does not know how to piss while riding a bike, who sits on his bike like my postman and rides with runners glasses. But yes, he cycles damn hard and is the deserved winner. http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/tour-de-france-2013/21748938/___Froome_fietst_als_mijn_postbode___.html

In defense of Froome... at least he wears black shorts with the yellow jersey and doesn't look like a cycling banana all decked out with everything yellow, though his imitation of a bobble-head when he rides is about to make me nuts.

As a postman who rides a bike I resemble that remark. Except for the damn hard. Well, I do ride damn hard at times just not very fast.

Whatever ones own views on Armstrong or Pantani, those guys were poetry in motion on a bike.

Possibly the greatest duel and ascent of Mont Ventoux

bobs, i gotta disagree with you on the 'greatest duel & ascent' opinion. armstrong could have blown by pantani when he caught him, but instead slowed and flagged him onto his wheel. pantani struggled to stay with armstrong, but armstrong wanted to put on a show that day and was feeling magnanimous to gift pantani at the end. which all came back to bite him in the butt.

I never met a hard core Froome supporter. For some reason he and Wiggo really don't seem to connect with people. He kicked butt have to give him credit. If the tour had an MVR it would be RP (obviously), I wonder what happens with him, it should be his turn, Froome and Wiggo should ride for him!! Reminds me of Talladega Nights Cal needs to get a shot.

I agree. He is one hell of a engine. But he does nothing for me. But then again, Lance did nothing for me after his 1999 win. Which I told everyone he would win after I saw his performance in the 1998 Vuelta.

I am almost bummed that he won so convincingly. Without him the race for GC would have been one heck of a show.

But the Froome is on some crazy form. His high cadence attacks are something to watch.
