Met Ray 20+ years ago. He could ride younger guys off his wheel with impunity but was friendly, fun, inspiring. He was a cyclists cyclist

Proud that I was able to log a few miles alongside the man.

wait... "successfully completed 101 triathlons beginning at age 58" BEGINNING at age 58?!
most of us will be lucky to live to the ripe old age of 89.

The "R" in RIP in his case is likely Ride in Peace…. don't think he was much into resting

He lead quite a life. Vet of WWII and Korea. Impressive.
