Bein sports is not showing the Giro. Universal Sports states they are covering, but not on their cycling schedule. What gives?

They may not be broadcasting it on tv but I think they are streaming it online, available to subscribers only.

I think the way to go is to set up a VPN connection, i.e. virtual private network. http://computers.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-use-vpn-on-your-mac--mac-46053

Your geolocation is hidden from view, so you can go to other countries' sites that are blocked to those beyond their borders. I would be able to watch the Giro streamed on the Italian network's site, Orange Crush on a Dutch site, etc. Not only that, but going online is safer 'cause your identity is hidden.

Is anyone on a VPN they would recommend?

Skinny, the Italian one is free for sure, because it is a national network available to everyone living in Italy, as opposed to one that you must subscribe to. I would assume that many of the other euro ones are the same but I can't say with certainty. Here's the Rai site for example: http://www.rai.tv/dl/RaiTV/dirette_tv.html

I have always depended on Steephill too, but it doesn't work on the iPad, so I can't stream it to my tv. I don't like watching those "pirate" sites either, with their popups and danger of malware.

Finally, the idea of being invisible on the web is an appealing one. You don't have to worry when using public wi-fi either. The VPN services all offer help with setting up their networks. Most offer trial periods as well.

A little tip I figured out this year.....don't bother trying to "X" out of the ads. Just enlarge the screen to "full size" and you never have to worry about the virus-laden pop-ups.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I'd be going for the Belgian feeds; Dutch commentary sucks as bad as American commentaty. I stumbled upon a direct Sporza feed for Fleche Wallonne the other week; beautiful HD, for some reason the georestriction was not active. Then I tried same for LBL, no luck and stuck with usual poor quality links. Will have to try VPN for LeTour; as it stands the Giro will be on TV in HD, Sportsnet for Canucks amongst us. I'll just have to put in on mute

I like the Italian feed. Only understand a few words, but for me, its an easier language to listen to. I can't watch a race in mute mode. My goal this years is to learn Italian while we drive from AZ to MA, using Rosetta Stone.

I might give the free version of CyberGhost VPN a whirl.

But first I have to upgrade from XP. Fortunately I have a copy of Windows 7 Enterprise kicking around that might work :-)

Skinny, here's one VPS service: http://strongvpn.com/strong_vpn_accounts_usa_new.php?gclid=CMWI3_iR-rwCFeMSOgodX3kAmg

Doesn't seem costly at all.

Googling VPN will bring up a big list of them. I haven't decided on one yet. I might add that I am not savvy about this stuff but trust that they will help me out.
