I have seen them ride here in Victoria a couple of times and no I did not participate. 1 year about 40 participants and the next year double. Unlike Portland they rode in the middle of the afternoon on a 3 or 4 km route.

up here in the PNW, our regular parades are gayer than our Gay Pride parades.

being in the straining buckle of the bible belt, a belt by the way that has had several extra holes cut into it due the increasing girth, we surprisingly get a huge influx of the lgbt whatever, whatever crowd on memorial day weekend. they stay out at the beach and spend big dollars and then leave. there are always entertaining pictures in the paper of women holding hands or guys in mermaid costumes so that the locals can see what they are missing. the churchy people protest somewhat but mostly in town so the whole thing is tolerated if not quietly encouraged. that said, a naked bike ride would get shot down super quick.
