Meh. That is one uninspired frame design......

And it should be Molteni Orange and sport the classic Merckx logos and headbadge.

is that like a 2-for-1 deal?!?

The bike looks like it would be afraid to get dirty. I only have room for one of those in my stable. Right now the $1k rough and tumble Trek is just about right.

Lovely bike and about double the price of what it is worth. Actually Assos has a bike and it is carbon and it is much cheaper.

No custom sizes. Hope the Merckx geometry works for you.....

I like. Given the small production run, high cost is no surprise.

"Each bike will be painted like this one, in an homage to Merckx's 1968 Faema, which he rode to victory at Paris-Roubaix and the Giro d'Italia."

1968 Giro d'Italia
KoM, Giro d'Italia
Points Competition, Giro d'Italia
4 stages, Giro d'Italia
Tour of Catalonia
Tour of Romandy
Paris - Roubaix

That's a pretty eye-popping amount. I could get two really nice bikes for that. I do like the frame, however.

Agree with CK on the Molteni color and old style Merckx logo.

As shown the color is wrong, the panels are wrong, the logo is wrong and the price is double what it ought to be.

Double? 3 or 4 times as high as it should be, IMO. C'mon...it is a steel bike!!

In all honesty, the only thing I find interesting / appealing about that bike is the custom Campag stuff.

I don't think he rode tangerine bikes in 68, and I'm not sure he was even on Colnagos.

Oh, I know he wasn't on a Molteni team bike in '68......but that is the color scheme that he is most associated with. You drop that kind of coin on the bike, people should know immediately what it is.

You: "Well, you see this was the color scheme of the bike he rode in his first year as a pro. He won the Giro and Paris-Roubaix on it"

other person: *walks away and thinks "damn bike should be orange".*

There is nothing magical about this bike and linking it to 1968. It is to commemorate Eddy's 70th bday. Why not make it like the bike he is most associated with?
