This has been the "off-season" from hell - supposed to be my break from building the house over the last 3 years(Spring, Summer, Fall) with Winter off. Surprise ankle surgery, t-cell lymphoma treatments, crazily f#cked up hormones, and now to be included - prostatitis. I'm still on crutches so the most I have been able to cycle is 20 to 30 minutes easy on the trainer 2 to 3 days a week - so I don't think that was the cause. Any recommendations? If I believed in god, I would believe god truly didn't like me ; )

Dang man that's a series of tough breaks. No advice, just counting myself lucky with health of an armoured tank. Heal well and hopefully you get it all sorted soon.

Are you still seeing your hematologist? I have non-medical experience in hem/onc, and sometimes it seems there are seemingly unrelated ailments that can be a result of the disease or treatment, that the non-hem/onc doc might not catch.
Sorry to hear about all of that.

Bummer! Hope you recover fast. By the way, I'd love to see pics of the finished house if/when they're available.

Nick -
I am quite sure many of the issues I am dealing with are related to the treatments for the t-cell lymphoma, and luckily am off them now for a new treatment which will hopefully be more effective and not have the same effect on my hormones - which in turn effect many of my other issues. Doctors like to poo-poo it all ; )

VT -
I still have about 8 weeks of finish work and then on to landscaping, but you can see whatI have accomplished up to this point on a blog I was keeping so my wife could see what I was doing as she stayed in SF working while I was up in Washington with the house...

BEAUTIFUL house. I've gone as far as renovating a kitchen and bath (nothing fancy), replacing windows, etc. I have a lot of reverence for what you've done there.

Thanks, Nick.
The house has nearly killed me - literally and figuratively ; )
I look forward to actually living in it.

Just got cleared for the walking boot - that's a good thing!
