If he doesn't figure out how to go downhill with a bit more skill, soon there will be a euphemism "descends like Bradley Wiggens". |

simoni used to joke that basso 'went downhill like concrete'. i think italians take special pride in their descending skills.
in my limited experience italian roads are much more technical, narrower, and downright dicey than french descents. mix with water and some oil on the surface and you've got a reason to squeeze some speed out with the brakes. subtle but meaningful differences between the giro and le tour, which it appears wiggo is finding out. |

What I like about the quote is that Wiggo is not afraid to heap a bit of irony upon himself. Given same circumstances, the Schleckster would be complaining. Of course the article shows that some girls are having sensitive toes about the comparison :-) |

well that's not sexist at all..... geebus man... adding to professional athletes not being able to speak well at all "uh, I did good, the team did good, it uh ended up good" Something about Wiggins bothers me - his worse than cachectic physique, they way that Sky reminds me of Postal all hammering at the front [TDF], his 70s hair... difficult to pin-point - lol

Ever since he got rid of those burns, he hasn't been winning much. Just sayin. |

Salvodelli was the man. I remember watching a Giro with the moto camera trying to stay within eyesight, you could see the speedometer on the motorcycle and it was in the 70-80kph and Il Falco still dropped them. Lunatic. |

Eurodog - I remember that! Il Falco ... shudder. I recall seeing his rear wheel fishtailing around when he was breaking into corners - and this was before he dropped the moto. |

Apparently, he hasn't seen me descend. No kidding. We'd have kicked anyone who descended like that off our team. That was just embarrassing! |
