http://krqe.com/2015/08/20/albuquerque-invests-in-unique-stop-light/ Personally, I think this is pretty cool. But, gawd, don't read the comments. In all seriousness, the grammatically incorrect venom spewed there just depresses the sh1t outta me. N

going with a decidedly lower tech solution locally: zig zag lines in the road.

Chinook, I get a kick out of those X-ing signs. The first ones I saw were "Horse X-ing" in the late '70s, early '80s. I grew up with horses. We all knew that where horses had been, you could find "horse xing". At those crossings, you rarely saw the horse, but the xing? It was a given. You looked for and avoided it!

OMG Nick!! The motorists in Albq. already really hate cyclists, this will make it even worse, but some of those bike trail crossing are pretty scary, San Mateo on the arroyo trail is especially bad, and a bit further east crossing Comanche, a couple of cyclist deaths right there.

Sometimes the ignorance among some people in Albq. and Santa Fe for that matter is quite astounding, no surprise NM is like 49th out of 50 in education
