It's been a CRAZY year. Got married in June, moved from where I've lived for decades to my new wife's home (it's close to her work and I work from home so it seemed fair). It's only 35 miles but totally disrupted my training. I've gone from being in the front 1/3 of most masters races to the back. I'm not complaining, just stating the facts... I stink.

Anyway, I've finally got some stuff set up here-- TV in the trainer room, treadmill moved in last week, my bike and trainer are set up. Starting three days before Thanksgiving I've hit the treadmill or trainer or rode every day but twice and and feeling decent-- first time all year actually but Saturday I'll know for sure.

Skipping Jingle Cross for the first time in a few years and heading to Tulsa for Ruts-and-Guts.

Full report next week

The equation is interesting. Losing top 1/3 status to the perks of marital bliss.
We are not all the same, what's essential to one person is flexible to another . . .
PS: congratulations on your marriage. I truly hope it is going well.

I am SOOOO happy to be back of the pack now and married. It's been a five month honeymoon with no end in sight.

No way would I want to go back to life as it was. Most of the drop off in fitness was due to the disruption of moving and not having my bike stuff at the ready and being unfamiliar with the routes around here. Now that we have the gym set up downstairs we'll watch a documentary or something on TV while riding the trainers.

Trainers, plural? If your wife is a rider too, you are a lucky man.

Congrats on getting married!! Very Cool!!

Just a bit of transition for you, that's all, and, like you said, "moved from where I've lived for decades" I'm sure it was quite a step for you, (but an easy decision) , and well worth it. You will find your ride mojo again. Sounds like a fresh start to a new life for you, Congrats on that also!!

Crazy year for sure, new job for me in March, back in the Solar industry, which was the highlight, but lost my big brother in May, 2015 has been so bittersweet for me, looking to 2016, put this one in the books

LOL. This low traffic board definitely has its share of guys who owned a leather hair net. :-)
