Heading up the mountain today. Destination is Windy Point. A bit of a breeze out there, but nothing that will blow me over.

I seem to recall those types of geographical formations....IIRC, the small ones are called "hills" and the big ones are "mountains"?

Gorgeous day....hope it was a great ride!

Nice. I did 1900+ m vertical Friday spread over many hills. But it was cold and wet. No brakes!

But no brakes nullifies some of the pleasure. Likewise wet slippery roads.

I did a new-for-me ride in the hills south of Portland a few weeks ago on my good bike. The descent was steep, mediocre chipseal, wet and graveled. 110 psi in race tires was NOT FUN! Next time out I took my 40 yo Raleigh with its 35c Paselas and 70 psi. Much more like it!

I did 1200+ m on Sunday, ~40% more than any other ride I have done before two weeks ago. Most of it was not at all steep, and I had brakes and decent weather.

Been pedaling my butt off all winter and haven't gotten any closer to the other end of the loft! Talk about frustrating!

And we have gotten diddly for snow. Tough times for outdoor fun this season.
