New owners reinstated the old name back to Purgatory for the ski resort near Durango, CO. I don't ski much, but am a decent intermediate. I gotta tell ya, I'm having a great time here. My last ski trip was a few years ago at Red River, NM, and there were A LOT of obnoxious people. Here, folks are pretty chill, and I'm having fun. Finally some exercise! We ain't the richest, but my wife knows how to spend money, and we're staying at the resort. I admit, it's very convenient. And oh, yeah, if you wanna by the condo, it's only $360,000. LOL. Nick

Um, yeah. I would NOT go down that!! That's like moderately controlled falling. LOL.

Love Purgatory, to me, it has always been PURGATORY, Durango Resort? WTF was that?

One of the best days ever in my skiing days was a day when we had butt deep powder there, simply amazing, skiing with my buddy Andy, god rest his soul. I have not skied in almost twenty years, but that day will always be in my memory.

Red River is just a pretty obnoxious place all around, it should be called something like Houstontown, or Dallastown............Little Texas?
