So where did you guys net out for 2016? Ended up with 300 hours of riding, a good chunk of which did not have mileage with it since I was on a trainer that didn't send distance to my Garmin (crank based power meter w/ no speed sensor). Anyway, that likely translates to about 6Kmiles, maybe a bit more. Running was a little over 1K miles, a new yearly high for me.

Some of the knuckleheads around here are showing 10,000 miles. Since I don't alway have my Garmin on the bike when I ride my milage isn't very accurate going off Strava but I'm probably about 2,500 miles. Running.. probably the same as you 1k. No, wait, you meant 1,000 miles not 1 kilometer. My bad.

I closed out the year with 2230 miles. Hope to get that over the 3K mark this year. Happy New Year to the die hard population of this group.

I ended with 4000 miles in 340 hours, with 158000 feet of climbing. I doubt I'll ride as much this year.

I ended up with 440 posts, most of them of no value to this board...

The counter was brutally stopped on 9 December 2016 due to snowfall, snow that unusually for Vancouver is still around one month later. Been doing the 180 yard corner lot shovel countless times.

The counter stopped at 202 ride days, 8,547 kms and 110,923 m vertical and three crashes (two black ice; one plowing through a bunch of bollards). More importantly: rides in HI (Haleakala), WA (Baker), OR (Bend trip), BC Okanagan (Dirty Fondo w SidebySide) and BE (Flanders). Oh... and I met that Keith fellow in DC. It was a long season.

Main goal for 2017: Hellracer 250. 250k half paved half gravel, 5k vertical and one brutal 8km 13% average gravel climb.

Happy New Year everyone or whoever is still here.

5380 miles. Not bad for a 74 year old cranky guy...

Zoot...
If you didn't have a crank, it would be hard to pedal.
CK-
You left off the swimming yards.

I barely broke 2,000. Not a good year for riding - not even a century. Check that: a great year for riding. I enjoyed being on the bike, and none of those f--- things. Did the Cape Cod Getaway MS ride with my son, and lots of good rides on the Cape during summer vacation. Like Grant says, "Just ride!"

I don't track miles or hours but since I commute regularly, it's easy to do the math, around 12k miles. I had planned a 1000mile bike tour but that didn't happen due to some family commitments. I swapped it out for a weeklong solo backpack trip. Two of those days, I didn't see another human. That was bliss.

If I'm lucky and don't have any injuries, 2017 will be pretty similar, swapping election angst for the regularly-scheduled political-twitter schitshow.

Sad to confess that some pretty bad arthritis limited me to maybe 300 miles in 2016. Very short rides only, mostly on the utility bike y'all guided me towards last spring. Had some surgery last fall that should allow riding to once again be a big part of my life :-). When I check in next year, the number will be more respectable.
