Well, the Albuquerque Performance was on the buh-bye list I guess. Mixed feelings. Good for LBSs, but still one less shop...

For me, Performance is (was) my LBS. 2 miles from my house and they usually carry more variety of parts and consumables and provide a more competent level of service than the Specialized and Trek concept stores that they compete with in my area. I've purchased all of my kids' bikes from them for the last 10 years. My understanding is that they are now closing down all of their retail stores. At first they said they would close about 40 of their 140 stores but now they're all closing. I'm bummed.

I read an article online that confirming they are closing all of their stores.

I hadn't realized they were closing them all. That's pretty big news.
